I recently read the book "How to Make a Spacehip: A Band of Renegades, an Epic Race, and the Birth of Private Spaceflight" by Julian Guthrie.
Wow! What an amazing struggle to keep the Ansari X-Prize afloat as Peter Diamandis worked diligently to find backers and the ship (should they be called rockets?) builders worked diligently to achieve space. I found it fun to read Elon Musk's desire to get to space and now he is working to make it happen and how intertwined the billionaires are with space.
A great read for fans of manned space flight and space tourism.
